Casa Melini a fost fondată în anul 1705 și încă de atunci a transformat Chianti într-o regiune de vinuri premium. Este un vin puternic, datorită proporției mai mari de soiuri de struguri Bordeaux, în special Merlot, dar și datorită unei vinificări deosebite și unice.
